Ket "the Blackwing" is an outcast Kalille from the Foxfire Empire's oft-forgotten territory known as Razorcat Isle. The Kalille, being spirits of nature and considered one of the three "Divine Races" of the world, have no actual biological sex. Rather, the Kalille reincarnate with the guidance of a spiritual union of two joined partners. Throughout history, any Kalille that had reincarnated with white wings was considered a blessing and elevated to the status of "Prophet" of their current generation, while those without wings were simple workers and gatherers of the community. Ket, however, was reborn with black wings, a trait never before seen and quickly believed to be demonic in origin. This fateful omen was the likes of which the Divine Race of the Kalille could scarcely imagine; for lack of any other option, the Circle of Prophets banished Ket from their lands.

Exiled, Ket bitterly wandered the unfamiliar human world and eventually became a famed bounty hunter, putting his skills as a telepath to great use. On one particularly high-paying hunt in the blighted lands of remote Archon, he fatefully interrupted an attack that nearly took the life of a wounded teenager named Arashi, along with Foxfire's Prince Tristen. Something about the mysterious girl awakened Ket's dormant sympathy and he vowed to keep her safe until she was returned to her home. However, she had no memories of where she came from or why she was attacked, and immediately after returning Arashi and Tristen to Seikyo, Ket found himself asked to be her guardian by Emperor Valgus from that day forward.

Though he only agreed to sate his curiosity, eventually he discovered a kindred spirit in Arashi and has built a true friendship with her, something that the long forlorn Ket had all but given up on years ago. However, the shadows of his past haunt him and he has yet to reveal his true nature to his dear friend, something which causes him a great amount of guilt.

Psionics

Ket's unique skill, Psionics, represents his enhanced mental abilities. Despite the Kalille's natural weapons, Ket prefers keeping a distance and has mastered the ablity to move things with his mind as well as perceive the thoughts and intentions of others.
